General Ledger Expert with Hungarian

Great opportunity for those who are in love with accounting!
Our quite big and multilingual (we speak Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian) General Ledger team is looking for a new colleague who will jump in as soon as possible and provide the best support to our customer from Hungary!
As a member of the GL team, you will be mainly responsible for closing related activities in the area of GL including HR-accounting, revenue and intercompany accounting.

Which challenges are expecting you:

  • perform closing preparation, accrual process and intercompany process.
  • responsibility for the balance sheet and the profit and loss account reconciliation
  • record HR-accounting topics and other provisions in the accounting system
  • post late entries in accordance to company guidelines in an accounting system
  • generate statement of equity and report on changes in provisions
  • perform controls for the internal control system to ensure compliance and correctness of the General Ledger
  • assist the auditors in their queries if needed
  • day-to-day interaction with a respective internal customer (e-mails / calls / meetings)

Your skills:

  • fluent English and Hungarian
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting / Business Administration or something similar with strong focus on finance and accounting
  • General ledger accounting experience or few years’ experience in AP / AR
  • knowledge of Hungarian GAAP
  • IFRS knowledge is a big plus
  • knowledge of accounting-software (SAP preferred) and proficiency in MS Excel
  • detail-oriented and self-organized personality
  • customer friendly communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • because we work as a team and help each other, we also expect that you will do the same
  • enthusiasm for working in an international environment
  • readiness for occasional travelling within Europe (if needed)
