As a member of the Financial Statements Closing team of 7 members, you will be responsible for fulfilling IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) requirements in company’s accounting procedures, coordination of closing preparation activities and communication with stakeholders and external auditors. Aligned with several national operating companies, you will face interesting challenges in closing processes!

Which challenges are expecting you:

• oversight of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages according to IFRS and Deutsche Telekom Group Accounting Manual
• support in implementation of new IFRS requirements and ensure correct accounting treatment of new business models
• coordinate closing process incl. coordination of closing-related information delivery from several stakeholders locally as well as internationally
• consult with external auditors and independently prepare the required documentation
• support in preparation of annual statutory financial statements
• support international transition of accounting activities from national operating companies to Deutsche Telekom Services Europe
• support the leadership for dedicated work streams in other international projects

Your skills:

• university degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 - 3 years of experience from international audit company with a focus on IFRS
• fluent English and ideally also an additional language (preferably Eastern European)
• additional know-how of local GAAP is a big plus
• it would be great if you have completed extra accounting qualification like ACCA, CIMA, CINA or CPA
• we are searching for a profound knowledge of accounting software (SAP preferred) and advanced knowledge MS Office
• ability to meet tight deadlines and produce accurate results is something what you cannot miss
• we expect that you are a detail-oriented and self-organized personality with a team player approach
• we need you to have customer friendly communication skills and problem solving skills
• additionally, you should have an enthusiasm for international environment and occasional travelling within Europe
